Caring For Your Eyes
How to care for your eyes?
From cleaning chemicals and digital screens to dust and pollution, everyday life exposes your eyes to many potential irritants. These factors can cause tiredness, soreness, or even long-term damage. Being aware of these risks is the first step toward protecting and maintaining healthy eyes.
We spend an average of eight hours a day staring at screens, causing eye strain. To prevent screen fatigue, follow the 20-20-20 rule. Just make sure that every 20 minutes, you look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
A healthy diet:
A healthy diet can significantly help your eyes. Some examples of nutrients that can help your eyes are:
Carrots - contain lutein, a yellow plant pigment that lowers the risk of cataracts and protects the eyes against damage from ageing.
Water - washing away debris and dust every time we blink. To maintain a healthy balance of fluid in the eye, it is important to stay well hydrated
Omega-3 - reduces the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration by 40%. It can also help in the prevention of dry eye

Working environment:
If you enjoy DIY projects or work in a workshop, proper eye protection is essential. Small particles or debris can easily injure the delicate tissues of the eye, potentially causing lasting vision problems. Always wear suitable protective eyewear, and ensure your workplace provides the necessary safety equipment.
